  1. whats the big woop? It’s a half convertible

  2. Seriously?  That makes the ’57 Ford Fairlane look simplistic, and the 66 Lincoln absolutely medieval.  That HAS to add 350 lbs to the frame of that thing.  And a simple, manual top wasn’t even considered?  If this were just a ‘concept’ car, fine.  Impressive.  But for a true sportster?  nah.  I’ll keep it Miata simple, tyvm.

  3. Thats a lot of mechanics to take off a piece of cloth! Dont you think it would have been better to be glass that could dim light the Mercedes SL?

  4. It is possible to look at this process eternally

  7. I heard that Porsche 911 targa 4 takes only 8 seconds to close the roof

  8. The car that needs an extra parking spot behind it in order to open its roof 🙂

  9. Can somone tell me wat the difference is to normal 911 and targa?

  10. I don’t see the point of this over the standard convertible. Why not a folding hard top?

  11. A deliberately overcomplicated system. I like it when Germans just show off.

  13. They should have made the whole rear piece of glass into a lift up hatch back for storage, and made the targa fold up like the original did. You would get rid of all the over complicated stuff and be able to transport more than just a hot chick and a six pack of beer. I have a 1990 911 C2 Targa and my main complaint is that the Targa top leaks (they just do) and whistles and creaks.
Fellow Youtubers, please note that you heard it here first from me. I bet Porsche picks up on this idea because to me it makes sence.
Come to think of it though, although I love my car, these are the same guys who give you no cup holders, AC vents that do not point in the direction you need and , at least in the 964, AirCon that just barely keeps you cool.

Whats the difference between a Porsche and a cactus?
The cactus has the pricks on the outside.
What?!? Hey, I resemble that remark.

  14. awesome

  15. Can we open during driving like the 997 targa 4s ?

  16. Does it have rear sensors to make sure there’s enough space behind? if not you’d have to be incredibly careful doing this in traffic – the overhang at the back looks to be nearly 2 feet. I don’t know why they couldn’t have changed the angle slightly as the rear section goes back (to keep it further forward).

  17. look neat but more moving parts so more to fix $$
