  20. do you have a video about cylinder head gasket on a arl tdi pd????

  21. I want to have a go at doing this repair but am concern about getting the timing belt back on correctly. I have just had the timing belt replaced by VW, before the symptoms of the worn cam began to show. The car is 2006 TDI 1.9. In the video you give the impression that the belt can just be slipped back on the cam, although you did say it was a rough way to do it and timing had to done later. I have two questions, would it be ok to slip the belt on and off with no locks in place? and can the timing be done with the engine in the car without removing the wing. It would have been nice to see a follow on video from this showing how you went about refitting and setting up the timing belt.
    Cool vid by the way.

  25. I have a zafira b with a 1.9 cdti 150 engine (z19dth) if im correct it is a fiat jtd engine and at 88k ive had catastrophic engine failure! If you want a decent engine go for the 2.0 hdi 110 8v, absolutely bombproof! Cambelt snapped on my 2.0 hdi and all it took was a few rockers and a new cambelt and it fired up first time!

  26. Nice tools and well talked through! Was this an 04 Passat tdi ?

  27. Hey guys, my Golf mk5, 2006, 1.9 tdi has the knocking noise how do I know whether a valve is possibly damaged?

  28. Great Video in some aspects….my advice to everyone doing a cam replacement is to remove the fifth cam bearing cover before rotating the engine, place the notch in the cam vertically, put the the locks on the crank, pulley and cam, remove the cam, replace, put the belt back on and have a wonderful day. The chalk mark on the timing belt is senseless.

  29. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING???

  30. Pumpe Duse engines need special PD oil.  Ordinary turbo rated oil is not good enough.

  31. can u use the advanced technique on the tdi 130 asz engine. should be the same theoretically

  32. Ruben A Yes…. its recomended to adjust pd elements….  When u changing cam you need a new screws….

  47. Hey folks, can anybody offer thoughts? My Touran 1.9TDi (2008) has been leaking oil from the oil filler insert after a cam belt change (major service at 200 000km). Is this coincidental or could it conceivably have been something the workshop did? RK
